Playing at the park with Skyler

A few weeks ago we met Skyler and Her Mommy Nikki and baby Jordan at Burrough's park. The girls had so much fun. We brought a lunch and the girls were too busy playing to sit and eat. They kept coming over and taking a few bites and then going back to playing. By the time we left the park they were both covered in sand. They both took great naps that day!!!

We have been wanting to do it again but Hailey has been having Mommy clingyness so we have been having some one on one time. We were supposed to get together a week after this visit but Max was having some issues and had me up in the middle of the night...I was too tired to get moving. Hailey has not seemed to mind the one on one time we have been having. I think with my new days off she has been missing me, I used to work mon/tue off wed, then work thur/fri/sat and off sun with all 3 of us. Now I work mon/tue/wed/thur so she does not get that day off with me till fri then still sunday the 3 of us together.

Here are a few pictures from the park play date......

Getting ready to go down the big slide at the park
Skyler and Hailey playing. They were digging their feet in the sand and then kicking them up in the air. They had sand from head to toe!!!
Playing.....just after this Hailey decided to take her shoes off and go barefoot which then meant that Skyler had to do the same thing. Monkey see Monkey do!! So true for toddlers.

Hailey's favorite thing to do at the park....she loves the swings!

They found some toys in the sand and proceeded to play with them. I love how they both have their backs to each other while they are playing.

More playing in the sand.......

Hope everyone is doing well....thanks for looking

Been a while.....

Not much going on but life sure feels like it has been non stop lately. Glenne has had some busy weeks at work and I have my busy days too. Glenne and I have been trying to get on the healthy wagon. I have been trying to just eat smaller, more healthier meals and drink less pepsi and more water. The number on the scale is not changing drastically....but my clothes are fitting differently and that is what counts, right??!!??!! Glenne has been able to get to the gym more then me. I cannot seem to get myself up at 530 am to get ready for the gym, go work out, come home and shower all before Glenne leaves for work at 730am. I am starting small in the exercise department...I have been walking Max around the neigborhood and I am trying to fit in doing an exercise video too more. Hailey and I actually did a kids one the other day..it was a dancing one....that was fun.

Hailey is awesome. We are having some fun times with her. In the last 2 weeks she has been really expanding in her vocabulary and talking in sentences. She notices and does not forget anything. She does not stop talking from the time she gets up to the time she goes to sleep, and even then talks in her sleep. She is becoming more and more independent. She has to do everything on her own. When we are in the store if she is not in a shopping cart and we are letting her walk she has to walk and NOT hold your hand. She has to "TRY" everything, or "HELP" with everything. It does not matter if it is something that she should not be helping or could get hurt doing...she wants to help. We do have our typical toddler moments where she is not listening and needs to be corrected but all in all she is a very good child.

Her last day of school is May 21st. **That is also Glenne and I's 12 yr wedding anniversary (May 29th is going to be 17yrs since we met and went on our first date!!!) Can you believe we have been together for that long....WOW!!!!!!!!! ** Hailey will return to school in september. I cannot remember the exact date. She will be going Mon/Wed/Fri from 9am to 230pm. This summer Glenne is off again so they will be hanging out and going to the pool...whatever they come up with. In august we are going to South Padre Island for a week using our time share. We are looking forward to that trip. I hear it is very nice there and the beaches are cloes to the white sand beaches you would see in Mexico or the Carribean. There seems to be a lot to do there also. The have a sea turtle rescue you can go to, horse back riding on the beach, a water park, lots of sea life to see on the beach, shells to collect, swimming in the pool at the condo. I think it will be a good week and will probably leave there will more things to see the next time we go.

I have some pictures to post of just miscelaneous things. I will try to post them later.

small updates

Hailey's new thing is "love it". We were playing the other day with her bubbles and she kept saying "love it!". She is picking up so much and seems to be learing so much all the time. She is wanting to do everything herself and thinks she is much older then she is. We are slowly working on the potty training..when she asks we take her but dont push it just yet cause we do not want her to feel pushed. She is going thru a phase where normal things she is used to are "scary" to her. Hopefully it goes by fast this phase. The school year is almost over and next year she will be going m/w/f.

I know I probably have other stuff to fill you in on, I just cannot remember at this time.

Till next time......Thanks for being in our lives!

The top video is of us on the Carousel ride at the Crawfish festival. Hailey and Daddy are saying giddy up Horsie and she is also telling him to not hold onto her. There were no safety belts so he was holding onto her, she did not like that.....little Miss Indepent.

These 2 videos are of Hailey singing part of the Beatles song..Golden slumbers, carry the weight. Here is link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lLTFJiN8o-A&feature=related and this one has the words http://www.lyrics007.com/The%20Beatles%20Lyrics/Golden%20Slumbers%20Lyrics.html

Glenne sings the one line all the time...."once there was a way to get back home" and Hailey will repeat the BACK HOME. She has started saying way...back home. While Glenne played the first video yesterday she started singing and then went and got her guitar too and was singing, dancing and playing her guitar.

Crawfish festival in Old Town Spring**lots of pics**

On sunday (4/19) we FINALLY saw the sun here in south texas after a few days of torrential rain and thunderstorms. We have an annual Crawfish Festival that is held in Old Town Spring down the road from us. Neither Glenne or I eat the boilded crawfish but its a fun atmosphere and there is live music and shopping and othe food...AND RIDES! We had beautiful weather and Hailey was loving beign outside! Here are some pictures of our day.

Hailey in her ride for the day. The umbrella and sunglasses to block the sun since Mommy forgot sunblock. (she did get a little red but not bad :-( They had face painting too so we asked Hailey if she wanted to get her face painted and she said yes and picked out what she wanted. She was very good and sat so still. The woman doing it said she did great for being so young.

Here she is getting a flower on the one side of her face
And here she is getting a balloon on the other side of her face.
Her and Daddy checking out the finished result.

Back in her ride......
Such a serious face...waiting to go on the Choo choo ride

Finally.....on the ride...she loved going on the rides. Some she was not big enough for.

She really liked the cars and they went pretty fast too

The 3 of us went into the fun house. She loved these funny mirrors!

On the carousel. I have some video of this too. I actually rode on the horse on the carousel too...been a long time since I have done that.

Daddy let her switch horses mid way thru the ride.
Here is the BIG slide that her and Daddy went on. She loved it!!

Looking at a band performing some zydeco music

We were headed to the car and she had to help pull the wagon...then she got tired and had to go onto Daddy's shoulders.
Here are the close ups of her face paintings. (we had to stop at the store so that is why you see the dairy case behind her)

I have some video I need to put up too. ....that will be another post.
Thanks for looking!

Oopps......delted this from previous post

Here is the picture of Hailey seeing that she got a new Dora movie. she was very excited, not sure if you can see her face in the picture or not.

The Easter Bunny visits our House

The Easter bunny visited our House! He also left some eggs on the front lawn for her to find too. Hailey was very excited to see what the Easter Bunny left for her. The easter bunny brought her some little people toys, 2 puzzles, bubbles and sidewalk chalk and a Dora movie.

Here is her basket and the bowl of eggs for Meme and Granddad
Looking at her basket on the table
getting a better view on the floor of the stuff
Looking at the Dora movie

Playing with the grass in the basket

Looking for eggs outside our house
finding eggs in the flower bed....and there is one of the plants her and Grandmom planted

Here is another egg...and 2 more of the plants that she planted with Grandmom finding the last egg.....she even let out a scream of excitement when she saw it.

I forgot to add that by the time she got to Meme and Granddad's and did the Easter egg hunt in their yard she was screaming with excitement at all the eggs she found.
