Happy 4th of July!!!!

On the 4th of July I actually had the day off!!! ( I normally work on saturdays) We did not really have any plans so we just played it by ear. Glenne had to get up very early to take Ev and Ginge (Meme and Granddad) to the airport. They are going on a South African Safari and will be gone most of July. We decided to take Hailey to go see Ice Age 3. She has seen the first one and on sunday the 2nd one happened to be on tv so she got to see that one too. She did great in the theater and enjoyed the movie, we all did.

After the movie we went to the park for a bit. It was so hot but it did not seem to phase Hailey one bit. The swing was hot but she insisted that it was not and had to swing on it. She just LOVES to swing on the swings!!! We all played on the on play area. The park was pretty empty so we all played. This one had about 5 slides and monkey bars, and one of Hailey's favorite things is the steering wheels. This play area had 3 of them and we were all Choo Choo's. Hailey was Thomas, Glenne was Jame and I was Percy.


Later on after naptime we met Kandi, Chris and Kenzie for dinner. It was the first time since the 2 of them are older and can communicate more that we have been to dinner together. After dinner we came back to our house and the girls played. Just before dark we went outside and let the girls play with the snapper things (where you throw them on the ground and they snap). Glenne got some sparklers and a few small not impressive to adults fireworks.

Kenzie was very good at posing and looking at the camera, Hailey could care less! (Kenzie is a year and almost 2 mos older then Hailey)

Our fireworks....our neighbors down the street had much more impressive ones as well as everyone else around us. The girls did not know the difference. I did not get any pictures of the good fireworks. :(

I did have a picture of Glenne and Chris pretending the sparklers were swords but Last time I posted a full picture of Glenne I got in trouble so I am not doing it again. If there is a partial picture of him in here it is not on purpose!!
