POTTY TIME**WARNING...TMI PICTURE OF POTTY STUFF**

We have been working on Potty training with Hailey. She is getting very good at telling us when she has to go pee pee on the potty, and will go with a dry pull up *panty* for a good portion of the day. She will forget to tell us if she gets involved in playing or doing something else. Now just some background here....she has been waking up asking to go potty first thing in the morning and from naps, she does not always go but is getting the idea.
On Monday she wakes up from her nap earlier then she should have crying. She automatically tells Glenne potty. So to let her know he is not happy that she is up earlier then should have been he told her sternly that she better have to go potty. Well, either he scared it out of her or she really had to go....BUT.....WE GOT POOPY IN THE POTTY!! She was so excited she had to wait for my break to tell me before the potty could be cleaned out. We even got a little more later that night before bedtime. We did not have that same luck today with the potty though.
***OK..here is a picture...I know gross...but she was so proud we had to do it!!! **** If you do not want to see it....stop looking*****

Happy 4th of July!!!!

On the 4th of July I actually had the day off!!! ( I normally work on saturdays) We did not really have any plans so we just played it by ear. Glenne had to get up very early to take Ev and Ginge (Meme and Granddad) to the airport. They are going on a South African Safari and will be gone most of July. We decided to take Hailey to go see Ice Age 3. She has seen the first one and on sunday the 2nd one happened to be on tv so she got to see that one too. She did great in the theater and enjoyed the movie, we all did.

After the movie we went to the park for a bit. It was so hot but it did not seem to phase Hailey one bit. The swing was hot but she insisted that it was not and had to swing on it. She just LOVES to swing on the swings!!! We all played on the on play area. The park was pretty empty so we all played. This one had about 5 slides and monkey bars, and one of Hailey's favorite things is the steering wheels. This play area had 3 of them and we were all Choo Choo's. Hailey was Thomas, Glenne was Jame and I was Percy.

Later on after naptime we met Kandi, Chris and Kenzie for dinner. It was the first time since the 2 of them are older and can communicate more that we have been to dinner together. After dinner we came back to our house and the girls played. Just before dark we went outside and let the girls play with the snapper things (where you throw them on the ground and they snap). Glenne got some sparklers and a few small not impressive to adults fireworks.

**the snappers rarely worked...the sparklers were not that good either..but the girls enjoyed them**

Kenzie was very good at posing and looking at the camera, Hailey could care less! (Kenzie is a year and almost 2 mos older then Hailey)

Our fireworks....our neighbors down the street had much more impressive ones as well as everyone else around us. The girls did not know the difference. I did not get any pictures of the good fireworks. :(

The girls doing the snappers again. They resorted to stomping them with their feet and that worked sometimes. Notice Kenzie posing again. What a cutie
Doing the sparklers......

Sparklers again...this time Hailey

I did have a picture of Glenne and Chris pretending the sparklers were swords but Last time I posted a full picture of Glenne I got in trouble so I am not doing it again. If there is a partial picture of him in here it is not on purpose!!

Sunday..July 5th

On sunday of July 4th weekend we were not planning on doing anything but hanging at home. We thought that if we went to Moody Gardens Palm beach it would be packed. We decided to take a chance and go down and enjoy some fun in the sun. It was less packed then other non holiday times when we went! We stopped at Burger King to get breakfast on the way down and while waiting Hailey played in the play area.

In the play area feeling proud that she climbed up there!
scooting over to go down the slide*these 2 pics are from my cell*
We got down to Palm beach......it was hot, Glenne thought it was hotter then me, I felt like there was a breeze. It seemed like it was a little overcast that day**and not crowded too**
She is leaning on my leg and swimming and kicking her legs

Looking at the penguins exhibt at the aquarium at Moody Gardens(this was actually a differnt day but I had to add it...Glenne kept telling her, I am not leaving here till you look at me and smile) I did tell him, she would gladly stay there all day and not go home!! LOL

Glenne's first try at ponytails!!!!

Today Glenne did Hailey's hair differnt then what he normally does ...which is putting a headband on. Before I started work I did her hair in pig tails and then braided them. It did last longer then just regular pig tails..but she still pulled them out. She is getting better though.

Here is Glenne's final result of doing Hailey's hair in ponytails. There are 2 on each side and on in the middle back of her head. He is getting there and I am so impressed that he even attempted to do that!! WAY TO GO DADDY!!!!

Hailey's friend Aryanna's 2nd birthday party

Last sunday we were invited to Hailey's friend Aryanna's bday party. She turned 2 on 6/18. Aryanna lives next door to Meme and on the other side of Meme is her other friend Daniella. The 3 of them are best friends. Daniella is a month older the Hailey and Aryanna is the youngest at just turning 2. I am glad that she has some kids her age at her Meme's house to play with.

For all your Northerners...this is a Pinata. In Texas..it is at a lot of bday parties. The kids love to beat it to get the candy out that is inside of it.

Hailey had the idea of what to do but needed a little assistance on how to do it..so I assited her then was told that she could do it herself.

A peacock roaming the grounds of the "old macdonald farm" where the party was.

As you can see from the red cheeks...it was very hot...as the day progressed..she just got redder! (if that is a word)

Hailey and Aryanna....they were just walking around doing their toddler thing.

Swimming at the pool

Hailey is really getting confident swimming at the pool. She will swim with either her arm swimmies or her suit (with the built in float/vest). She is doing so great and just loves to be in the water. Here are a few pictures.....she was not happy with having to face Daddy to take the pictures instead of playing in the water. Please excuse my pool hair! lol

trying to get the ball that was in the pool

Visit to the Zoo

I took a tuesday off of work and we went to the zoo. We have not been since April. It was a very hot day ( I know, very surprising for us in south Texas in the summer). We took the wagon but Hailey of course had to walk through a lot of the zoo. We took some pics, here they are.

There are a few pictures of the piranah..we were waiting for the feeding to start. They had a tunnel that you could crawl through in the middle of the aquarium. Hailey was not into going through the tunnel. *this is just some other kid that was going through*
Hailey with me behind her and Glenne at the other end trying to get her to go through.

The farthest she got into the tunnel.

Standing outside ....................

This monkey followed us from one end of his habitat to the other.....he was a funny little guy!

Hailey....with the Albino Alligator in the background

In the children's zoo play area

Looking cool.......Model pose here!

Checking out the sea lions on our way out of the zoo

As we were leaving the zoo she saw the lady had a stamper ....so she was nice enough to give Hailey a stamp of a flamingo on her hand as we were leaving.

The big "cheese" smile...she was pretty exhausted at this point but still REFUSES to fall asleep in the car.

We saw the giraffe's and elephants. She loved the zoo and we did not even see all the animals when we went. We will be going again......not sure if it will be while its so hot though. We got there a little after 10am and left about 1pm and were dripping in sweet with 100 deg temps. It was a lot of fun!!!
