Houston Zoo Zoobilee April 3,09

We just got a zoo membership and part of being a member means we get to go to Zoobilee which is a members only event each spring. The zoo closes early and the members get the zoo to themselves, the zoo provides a snack, you get to chat with the zoo keepers and ask questions. The kids get a "passport" that they can get stamped at different locations and at the end of the night they get a prize bag. This was the highlight for Hailey, she had to walk up to the tables herself and get the stamp from the person at that station and said thank you when she got it. She had to make sure we saw the tigers, elephants, giraffes, monkeys, and bears. Here are MANY pictures from our trip to Zoobilee. Since Grandmom (mommom) and Grandpop( poppop) were still here they came along too. We all had a lot of fun.

This woman was dressed as a butterfly and was walking around on stilts.

The Sea Lions....this is where she got her first stamp. There was another sea lion but he went somewhere after we walked up to look at them. Hailey kept wondering where it went.
This was one of the aquariums where Hailey got her 2nd stamp. She had to get out of the wago to look at this BIG fish. She actually got down to eye level with it. It was funny. (sorry for it being so dark)

Hailey's "charriot" wagon for the evening.

The reflecting pool at the Houston Zoo...also the location where we got all our snacks!

wow, looks like fun! I'm jealous that everyone is wearing such summer fashions. we have nice days here, but not too consistently yet. The wagon at the zoo was a great idea!
